10 Tips for Perfect Jewelry Care
1. No contact with water. Do not shower or swim with your jewelry. Soap residue, chlorine or salt can remain on and in your jewelry and cause discoloration.
2. Free from perfume/cream. Do not allow your jewelry to come into direct contact with soap, perfume, make-up, body lotion and hairspray.
3. Sweating. Always remove your jewelry when you do heavy work or start a hard workout. Sweat is not good for your jewelry.
4. Take off your jewelry before going to bed. Jewelry wears out faster if you wear it all the time, and sleeping can cause it to break more easily.
5. Store it well. It is best to store your jewelry in a darker place, for example in an organza bag or jewelry box.
6. Reduce the chance of knots. Fasten necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry before storing. This reduces the chance of knots forming in your jewelry.
7. Put your jewelry on last. It's always best to put your jewelry on last. You don't want it to get caught on something while you're putting it on.
8. Avoid pressure. Avoid applying excessive pressure to elastic bracelets. Pull them on gently so that the elastic does not stretch too much.
9. Be careful with chemical products. If you come into contact with chemical products, take off your jewelry. Do not wear it while cleaning.
10. Be careful with the sun and tanning beds. Do not expose your jewelry to the sun or tanning bed rays unnecessarily. This can discolor your jewelry.
